Why we need the vaccine

Had my first one last week, the second will be the week after next.

Overjoyed that the numbers have been looking better.

This thing has mimicked the 1918 flu pretty damn well. And in 1919, the Spring saw another large surge with a new mutation in which people that survived it earlier, got it again. Fingers crossed that this rush to reopen won’t let the new mutations out there gain momentum.

The thing that gets me about all this shit wango, is the idiocy of the response.

Yes, there's a bad flu going around. Yes, any bad flu can be deadly under the right circumstances.

But since when was there so many idiots, and so much lunacy as for people to believe that government can stop a force of nature?

Truthfully, government cannot stop a plague, any more than it can an earthquake.

But you've got this massive ship of fools running around acting like it can, and throwing away liberty in order to be "saved". Pretending like a flue pandemic is suddenly an apocalypse and we should all quiver in fear and howl for salvation from our suffering begging our divine leaders to save us.

Such bullshit.
