They don't care in the least about most sexual deviance or perversions. Nor do they care about most habitual drug use, legal or otherwise.

They care about stamping down opinions that could take hold, and become a roadblock in thier path to power. And that's it.

That's why the party sees american citizens owning firearms as a threat, but China having stolen weapons technology? No so much

One is a threat to America as a sovereign nation. No concerns.

The other a threat to the power of the party. Big concerns.

I also mentioned books and searches, which can and does form opinions and can be the genesis for ideas. If they aren’t checking for child porn or major drug involvement, I’d say someone needs to pick their game up and spy a little more.

    Definitely not more.

It's not their spying that's in question, we know they do it, even illegally and get away with it. It's thier priorities and motivations in doubt.

Last I checked all american citizens are still entitled to hold thier own beliefs, ideas and opinions, regardless of what they are. And thier right to privacy of those beliefs was still protected by the constitution. As such, discrimination against any american on the basis of political views , opinions or ideas was supposed to be strictly prohibited. That includes warrantless searches and investigation.

But, that's just what I thought because that's what the constitution says.
    Hell, what do I know?
Obviously some americans are ok with this sort of woke fascism we seem to be racing towards.

If they wanted to, they would've busted the pedophile rings already without having to violate people's right to privacy. The fact is they don't want to. Hell, the FBI's been breaking these privacy laws at will, why haven't they gone after the pedos? They know who they are.
