My ALT/AST levels are ALWAYS elevated.

Muscle is broken down and those proteins are excreted through the liver. They can be even higher if you’ve happened to workout prior to your labs.

Extremely common and I’ve gone as far as having an ultrasound to insure my liver wasn’t compromised. Those levels are troubling and more fall in line in the “annoying” side.

The more muscle you have and the harder to workout out the higher your propensity is for having elevated levels

Hope that brings some relief. Adding NAC did help lower mine slightly

I’ve had this issue for a long time and have had multiple specialists examine me and talk through it with me…I am no longer concerned about them

    Edit:

Went back and pulled my last couple of labs for comparison and mine sit anywhere from 72 to 88

Holy crap. I just had mine and I was toward the middle. About 4 weeks after a show but I took 2000 mg of NAC daily.
I was using just about everything: Winnie, anadrol, anavar, halo, etc .. obviously not at the same time.

Thanks for sharing. I do 1 hour of HIIT training in the morning and 1 hour of weight training or Metcon in the evening. I'm just wondering how much Tren effects it or if its still elevated from the Var i took weeks before. What are your thoughts? Also, have you stopped your cycles and seen improvment?

In my experiences, tren messes with my lipids and my kidneys not really my liver functions. Yes, even on a 200 mg TRT maintenance dose, I still have elevated ALT/AST values. Maybe there’s a genetic component but from the explanations I’ve had over the years…the common denominator is muscle mass. Not sure what your stats are, but the last 5 years, I’ve sat between 250 - 270 (258 this morning) and carry quite a bit of mass on me. Also strength train 5x a week and the explanations I received is that the mass and the workouts are the culprit.

Again, nothing alarming and have been told annoying. Have been tested for Hepatitis, jaundice, fatty liver disease and a myriad of other liver functionalities and it’s in tip top shape.

I will say that the last year and half has seen a slight spike due to acetaminophen (taking norco post cancer treatments). The Tylenol definitely has bumped up the liver enzymes but I was able to offset that back to baseline with the help of the NAC.

Var is another one that is probably tougher on your lipids than your liver values.

I’m just impressed you can do HIIT on tren! I get tired taking an escalator on that shit…

Tough to say brother and I’m just sharing my anecdotes and what my practitioners have stated to me over the years. I’ve been blood tested, poked and prodded as much as anyone on this forum the last couple of years and those fucking liver enzymes have always been elevated, regardless of the gear I’m running. For me, I’ve decided to not worry about it and just stay consistent with my lab work.

Im 195 LB with 11% Body Fat. I do have some muscle mass. This could be a contributing factor like you say so thank you for that info. The var was increasing my Lipids so that was the reason I dropped it and then retested and my cholesterol drastically improved not being on var.

Haha about the Tren. I feel like I perform better. However, Im not taking a very high dose. Just 50mg with my 100mg test Prop 2x per week. I'm not trying to over do it. I just love being lean year round.
