Never had steelhead. Kinda looks like salmon. Whats it taste like? Oily fish or more white fish?

It's an oily fish like salmon, but the flavor isn't quite as strong. It's very good cooked on the grill. Like any grilled fish, you have to keep an eye on it to prevent overcooking.

Steelhead is pretty much a kissing cousin to rainbow trout, that just live a different cycle. Steelhead live in both freshwater and saltwater, but spawn in freshwater.

It's just a work of culinary art. It's been a year since I tried it, and I'll tell you that I can't remember a weekend without it. Of course it's not as good as the one I made in that restaurant, but still. Photos attached. I tried.Attachment 182438

I forgot about this thread. Most excellent food porn! Here’s my July 4th creation (ok, my wife helped): homemade baked beans with a cheeseburger super rare & a very lob-sided sunny side egg on top. I’m watching my weight or I’d have polished off a second damn easily.

My new lunch lately is like 200g chicken + 250 cottage cheese . i find mix of that is easier to consume then single protein source of 400g and they go together pretty good taste wise imo, i cut the chicken breast to little pieces before so it mixes out to become like a chicken salad.

for breakfasst 140g tuna fish + 1 package of those dip in hot water quick noodles and mayonaise... easy to make and tasty and like 40g protein
