Not a fan of belittling/minimizing someone’s suffering. Particularly from those f’n animals. Many years back at a previous gym I would see a young man that was severely burnt, his arms were badly scarred and he had only a remnants of a face. I thought - what guts to get out there & at a gym that is all about physical perfection.
But here ya go as I’m in a poetry mood today . . . Dedicated to that kid who I never really met nor knew how to approach to applaud him.
A man without a face.
But still a man. Perhaps a better one?
The flames might have robbed your superficial beauty.
But . . .
The beauty that glows from your strength & courage is radiant.
Yes, definitely a better man.
