Just saw Honkey_Kong's post...he has you covered.

Also what Cuz said about eGFR fluctuating is true.

If the creatinine comes down, the eGFR will likely come up.
This is going to sound weird, but when you urinate does it make foam? Don't confuse bubbles with foam. Bubbles will flush, foam doesn't.
A good way to tell the difference between the foam and bubbles is if when you flush the foam tends to still be there a little bit afterwards

Yep, just like the foam on a badly drawn draft beer. The foam just clings.

With that tsh, man your diet is gonna have to damn perfect that would be hard for me mine runs .5-.6 so i can cheat more on my diet. Anyway you got some good advice here good luck op

Yeah, there really isn't anyway around the foamy piss after a hard workout. At least for those of us with diminishing kidney functionality. But excreting protein waste and higher creatinine levels should be expected in people that do intense exercise regularly. And as said before in other threads the eGFR doesn't really apply so much for people that have higher muscle mass over the normal population. Black people on average have more muscle mass than caucasians have and that's why labs take in to account their race when calculating the eGFR.

Really what they need is to take height and lean muscle mass in to account when they calculate the eGFR otherwise, the results from it can be so inaccurate it's not worth even using.

I always wondered why it listed african american egfr. So its the muscle mass in black men ? Wow, not surprising

Even a high protein meal get me foamy. I can eat/overeat 12-16 os of steelhead or salmon and I m guaranteed to be Mr. Bubble afterwards.
When I follow my normal protein intake, no issues except for the times the kidneys act up. It's not chronic proteinuria, just more than the kidneys could filter at the time.

I wondered the same thing about the differences in eGFR and my Dr.said the same. It's just genetic different between African Americans and Caucasian Americans. She gave me the brief breakdown on how they did all of these studies decades ago and used the data from the study groups and threw some statistics in to establish a "rough" guideline so they have some frame of reference.
