They generally will only put you out for a full colonoscopy (entire large intestine). For a partial they usually don’t. You can request, but that’s up to if your insurance will pay. Hint, they don’t like to & usually won’t.
When they do knock you out, you should be out by the time the stuff goes in.
Yeah, pumping the air and water in is weird feeling, but generally shouldn’t be that painful.
The wife and I each had 2 and it’s time for a third. For us it was the prep (drinking that horrible crap) that was the issue.
I’m thinking the clinic you got sent to might not have been that great. Sorry for your experience, but that much pain is pretty unusual.
Have you had a catheter shoved up your pee-hole? Now that will freak you out, plus you can see it happening.
Colorectal cancer is increasingly found in younger folks. It’s likely you’ll start to see doctors start testing everyone at 45 instead of 50. That is, unless it runs on your family and then they should start much sooner.
The only time I had a catheter in my pee-hole was when I was in that accident that I lost my kidney and broke my back in like 22 years ago now. I remember it hurting a lot more coming out than going in (I'm sure it had to do with me being in shock still and being injected with morphine before they put it in me). And while it was in, it wasn't so bad. I didn't even feel the urge to pee.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...
