We'll find out tonight even tho i have no energy. Before I tweaked my back I got 545 for 2. 565 for almost 2..
1 rep @ 475 tonight...went up 10lbs since last week.
I pulled 495 lbs@ 170 lbs 4% bodyfat... while cutting for nationals last year
500 x 5; 545 x 3 @ 5'6" 212 lbs in february.
Cut for nationals this year... was still pulling 500 for reps.
Right now i'm still in maintenance (resting my body...will start bulking in the new year). I'm at 210 and my dead is still around 500 +. 455 without straps.
When i'm back around 215-220 i'll be at 500 raw.. and probably 585 w/ straps.
I can deadlift 20lbs 100 times....ROFL

505 for 4 at 5'8 210
only been doing deads for less than a year
good workOriginally Posted by IronReload04
thanks. actually, i have squated for a very long time before starting deads, so i had the base, it was just a matter of making the movement a repetitive oneOriginally Posted by Doc.Sust
squating is big key to a good deadliftOriginally Posted by IronReload04
405
=(
My grip gives out before my strength
use strapsOriginally Posted by SVTMuscle
you could probly do much more than 405
For some reason straps make it worse for me. But that also may be because my straps are worn to shit so they are very smooth on the insides.Originally Posted by audis4
have you ever tried an alternating grip?Originally Posted by SVTMuscle
I have not, but I guess i'll give it a shot.Originally Posted by Doc.Sust
I'm a lefty, so what hand do I put backwards?
dont think it really mattersOriginally Posted by SVTMuscle
i was taught to feel it out see which feels best to u .. i right handed and i use a pronated right suplinated left
it depends on waht feels right to you, i used to go both ways now i stick with left supinated right pronatedOriginally Posted by SVTMuscle
ditto.Originally Posted by Doc.Sust

then bandaids after it pulls all ur calloses off! ><Originally Posted by Doc.Sust
but yeah I CAN lift more w/ chalk than w/ straps on deads for sure bout 5% more or so
i probably could do more with the straps(than my grip would be a double over hand grip, and it would be a more normal ,better bio-mecahnical pull) but i will neve know becasue if icant use straps when i compete, it make very little sense to use them when i trainOriginally Posted by taiboxa
w/ straps i never get an even spread, and since my hands are fixated to the bar its a proplem to adjust them a quarter of an inch .. so w/ straps its like one side comes up first ><Originally Posted by Doc.Sust
