What a bummer.. first ever injection and this...

My hopes are with you!.. First thing I would do, everyone else might have
different thoughts.. Put a hot compress on it, then stick it with a needle, see if you can pull some puss out of it.. My dog had an infections from his shots once.. i had to do this for a week after.. so now if i get a lump, i just do this.. if i pull puss then Id go to the doc...
but if course this is me, and i can be crazy some times!

as usual Maldorf and Mercedesdd were right on point. Got admitted to the ER this morning.. told the nurse i got a bad splinter from UNTREATED wood ( if you say treated my impression is your on a long road of blood testing for arsenic etc..) they were initially going to Xray to see if i had any more splinter in my leg.. Got saw by a doc that looked at it and checked my vitals etc... he said right away it was cellulitis.. start on oral antibiotics, and i have a follow up in 2 days to see if it spreads... the injection site is at the top and apparently the swelling and redness is moving down towards the knee which is a good thing. If this Mother persists theyre gonna admit me for a week on IV antibiotics..... not bad for a first time injection would you say?

Wow , Thanks for posting I was hoping you would as I was very concerned last night when i saw that pic you posted. It looked like cellulitis but I didnt want to totally freak you out and make it worse for you.. Thats why after you posted the pic I posted that info of cellulitis to make sure you knew it was serious and to make sure you where going to get it looked at by a doc.. Man your in my prayers and hope for a speedy recovery...

Please keep us updated on your condition

You really do have bad luck! I am just glad that you went in early on and didnt let it progress. I am curious though as to why they didnt give you a dose of IV antibiotics when you went in. When I went in they gave me two giant shots of antibiotics IM near the area. I think it was rocephin( spelling off). My wife had a small infection near her finger nail and redness was creaping up her forearm and they gave her IV too.
I doubt youll need to me admitted to the hospital, considering how early you went in, but that might depend on what kind of bacteria you have in there.
Was there anything to lance? No visible abcess or lump? If they lance it they can take a sample and grow it in a dish to identify the type.
Hope you get better soon. Sounds like youre going to toss those vials you have, I hope you do that.

yeah no discharges, and no abcess to lance... that antibiotic sounds familiar it the doc said it used to be available strictly within the hospital but is now available for script.... im on a gram of antibiotics a day. He marked all around where the redness is on my leg and i have to report back tues. if it spreads outside the boundries of the sharpie its IV for me.

Uhm, one question, why inject 2ml? Personally, thats a little much, I dont know if its your first cycle or anything. However, if the gear I am using is from a new manufacturer/supplier, I would probably be cautios. If anything, inject half a ml for the first one just to see how you react to it. For all you know, you could be allergic to it, or it could be contaminated...

I heard that **'s Testosterone Enanthate batch of 2006 was underdosed AS WELL AS some of them being unsterile.

Makes me scared to use the Test Cyp I got from them dated November 2006. I haven't heard anything bad about their Cyp, though... just their Enanthate.

haha good find merc, because that is literally what i have since i got the generic version, thats what it says on the bottle... just 500mg capsules instead. screw canada, id buy my meds on amazon if they were cheaper than my deductible. This is turning out reaallly informative, for those that find it early enough, althought you cant really substitute the knowledge and supervision of an MD

Excuse me, no. I just ment that in Preparation for my up coming cycle, to keep an antibiotic on hand just in case of problems like yours. And of course I will go to the Dr. if any problems should occur.

By the way I really appreciate you sharing this experience with us. An infection/abcess is really the only thing that scares me about cycling. I got confirmation on the fish flex in my thread.

yeah no problem, i learned a LOT and more than anything else it is what this whole forum is about... learning, information, and most of all experience... I pmed Kratos because i totally forgot that 2 weeks ago he advised keflex to some guy whose "friend" injected nolva IM... I will continue to post my experience until full recovery.. I have a picture of the outlined redness on my leg which you use to track the spreading of the infection...

Just to sum up for those that just jumped in....

Wed the 8th- Injected 500mg (2ml) test E to frontload
Thurs. 9th- Very little pain, expected some with virgin muscle
Fri. 10th- A lot more pain, still assuming virgin muscle, tylenol/advil all day
Sat. 11th- REALLY bad pain, later came down with fever and rashy redness

Sun 12th- went to doctor and was advised its an infection called cellulitis

Treatment- Initial dose 1000mg (1 gram) Keflex, or "fish flex" and take 500 mg 4x daily thereafterwards. found online and probably at Petco or something.

Outlined the redness on my leg, in 2 days if the redness spreads, go back to doc, or if fever or other signs like stomach pain appears/worsens at which time IV antibiotics will be administered.

i have a LOAD of antibiotics on hand, docs hand that shit out to just about everyone, regardless if they actually need it. I try not to take them when i get sick unless its bad, so i just stock up. I got z-pacs, cephalexin, amoxicillin, and so on. I guess i wont toss it, especially after reading this. I actually used to just dump out the antibiotics from the capsules and fillem with caffiene.

When my wife had an infecion in her finger the docs told her that taking the oral meds at first wouldnt be enough because they cant reach a high enough concentration in the blood. Thats where the IV antibiotics come in. They just gave her one treatment at the hospital and she left a few hours later. Took orals for another 10 days and it was fine. With me they gave me 2 shots in the ass of antibiotics right near the abcess itself. The swelling, redness, and pain were all gone within about 24 hrs or so.

Um....Not trying to highjack by any means but I have the SAME EXACT looking vials. ** Testabol Enanthate 250, Pink top, Green stopper, Blue label, little arrow on the plastic. The only thing that is different is my man. date is 02 2005 and Jack's was 04 2006.

Everything checks out accept for that damn pink top! I don't believe in fate or anything, but I was about to do my first injection ever 5 hours from now and tripped over this thread after doing a year's worth of research on this
forum. What do you guys think I should do? Please help!

Jack, thanks for your post and I wish you the best of luck.

For the life of me I can't find it (pink tops.) The only one Testabol Enanthate I could find in the forum with pink tops were yours and that is back when you posted that "just in from greece" forum last month. Two members told you they looked good and I thought I was good to go too. Next thing I know your in the hospital. Are you positive it was the gear? I don't mean to ask you so many questions but you're the only one I know with the same exact looking gear and my anxiety just went through the friggin roof. I tried PMing you but the system won't let me.

yes unfortunately it was the gear. either for reasons of contamination or just really good fakes... you have to realize that the brands we got are probably THE most counterfeited AAS out there. you can make your own decision but I'm throwing mine out and sticking to UGL's

I microwaved a coffee mug with hot water and let some ** test E warm up while i took a shower. Thoroughly cleaned the injection area, and top of bottle with alcohol pads... injection went smoothly (maybe a little fast?) put an antibiotic (bacitracin, and neomycin) covered with bandaid. Next morning woke up and was sore.... little limping but i was alright.... upper quad felt bruised..... friday woke up real sore.... still reading i realized its probably just virgin muscle and quit being a *****.. popped advil all day..... today woke up.... could barely walk.... over the day it got progressively swollen over my upper quad... checked at work a few times and it wasnt red. Got home fell asleep for a bit and came down with a fever.... stopped by my moms house (shes an nurse.... told her it was a splinter) and noticed my upper to mid quad is a little red and blotchy (will post pics later if interested). At this point i figure its my body having a reaction to the oil as it spreads.... the swelling isnt really an issue as i dont think its an abscess ( 1.5" needle down into the quad). I put some more antibiotic ointment on it, got a heating pad, and im pushing fluids, while trying to take down as much chicken noodle soup and chicken breast as i can.... Am I overreacting and forgetting everything I read about first injections, or is this something i really need to be concerned about? Im supposed to inject in the AM so what is your advice from here?

    Thanks,
    Jack

I had the same problem but it was my right glute for 3 days I was in bed and kid you not I was crying my right cheek was swollen double the size of my left one. After like 5 days it went away. I used a 23g. 1.5 in. needle and 2cc of this new UGL test e. Just put tiger balm or hot patches and it will go away soon.

4 days in the hospital, wow. Hope you get out soon. Your outcome though will probably be better than mine. . Sounds like yours hasnt developed an abcess yet? I had to have surgery on mine, its just wonderful having someone picking out pieces of your glute muscle. Bet yours will be fine.
