I really hope that's just a rumor. Simple is better.

The wife carries the SP101 w/ bobbed hammer in .357 sometimes. Load it w/ .38+P for her. It's got a decent amount of weight so the recoil is minimized. The barrel length is 2.25". Believe the Ruger catalog is 5720. She also has a S&W model 12-2 Airweight that is lighter( name kinda told you that...).
She has no problem carrying either in a small cross body purse. I've tried to convince her to let me bob the hammer on the Airweight, but she won't hear of it. It's hers, so more power to her.![]()

There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

I am from cali so.....
G26 most of the time and S&W J frame as backup (shin holster) ...
and when my license is expired and while they renew it i carry a Tanfoglio 6.25 acp or a pen gun which is extreme case scenario when i really need to carry.
was looking for one of those american arms .22 revolvers (the foldable ones) coz i figure that would be real cool to conceal and used in xtreme cases but then its like USD 3000 (when its not more than 150$ in USA) !!!!

Me G23, wife G30sf.
a friend just bought his wife this little number and she loves it!
Springfield Armory's XDS 9mm + a concealed weapon's purse
something similar to what is found here: The Concealed Carry Purse
IMO that's a bad idea. A concealed weapon should be kept on your person at all time. Especially women purses and handbags are the #1 thing stolen by either taking it in a split second when not looking or being distracted by someone else or a yank and grab off of their person.
Revolvers are the best for women and men carry to really.Never jam.My girls carry 38 special s&w air weights with plus p rounds.First round they carry is a pest rounds backed with Ni clad hollow points.
But we also carry ruger 380 lcp with laser.

I have carried a G27 for years, it's my favorite & carry it everyday. The wife loves her Smith & Wesson Airweight .38 (hamerless).
S&W Bodyguard 380 for me. Not a big round but its a small gun that i dont even know is there, which means I actually carry it.
Smith&Wesson M&P Shield, Kimber Ultra Carry II, Walther pps
Glock 23. Cant go wrong with the officer discount. 400 bucks out the door and three high cap mags!
Ruger .38 LCR in the winter with an extra speed loader for a quick reload. Ruger .380 LCP in the summer with an extra magazine. The .380 is smaller and easier to conceal in warm weather attire and you won't be shooting through heavy clothing if the situation ever arose. The .38 is still small enough to conceal with winter clothes and packs more punch to shoot through heavy winter clothing if needed.
Soooo, all of you .380 carriers, have you had issues with malfunctions? Mainly failure to feed, double feeding and stove piping?
Not yet. Been fine at the range......but if you'd send me my Glock 10mm I could carry THAT (in principal at least).Originally Posted by Lunk1
And WTF is stove piping????

You can't beat the blue label discount. It has saved me a few hundred bucks over the years.Originally Posted by Duplex32

I remember starting this topic here a while ago.
Best two I have cz 75 9m single action and the 92fs.
For a girl .38 revolver will do, under pressure and adrenaline I can't imagine a female clearing a jam.

Springfield 1911 for winter.
Always keep an 870 in the trunk.
planning on getting an lcp. Was thinking of getting the Taurus version, $150 cheaper. . But. . Just going with the lcp. Even if I have to wait a little longer
