Well after being on 100 mg ew for 90 days mine jumped up again to 54.8. Dr did a phlebotomy in the office and we are adjusting my dose to 60mg twice ew. I told the dr but that’s raising the dose, he says he has done it with many patients and it has worked. We will see. I run labs again in a couple weeks

I hate to butt in but with 14yrs TRT and Prostate radiated. i probably need what ever yall are talking about but i am clueless.

i need to stay on top of things my urologist is putting me on frickin Andro for 3 mths. this is post cancer and he said be patient. he has had me on clomid for 2 mths . he even said before you start i know this will not restart your test production and you will not be happy on the gel but these steps are not so much for you as they are for me to CMA the uneducated TRT community requires me to do this this way. He expressed concern as to when they would educate as opposed to recycling old knowledge when we know so much more than in the late 1990s. so 3.5 mths from now should be starting fresh with a new base line on cypionate
(What is this test?) I did my 1st blood draw when red got to high withdraw pin and hose a 16oz bottle. i had back surgery so gotta move kind of slow in the gym. So glad to be back on the test train after 2 years of a suck ass low energy and lack of libido I am like a kid at Christmas.......

Buzz, we are talking about managing hematocrit levels with therapeutic phlebotomies. It's can be a balancing act for some of us.

The goal is keep hematocrit levels within range without depleting iron and ferritin levels. Some guys have no problem, some it can be a bit of a chore.

I can say it seems to be more common as guys age. Managing hematocrit is extra important if you have high platelet levels.

That's just the highlights of the process, but I hope it helps.

Dr increased my dose to 60mg twice ew. I was at 55 crit and 18.2 hemo. After 6 weeks we ran labs again and my hematocrit came in at 54.1. That’s good news it went down not up. We are headed in the right direction. My hematologist says if we can keep at or around 54 that is a good number with no phlebotomy needed. Yay!!!

Congrats, man!!! I'm still trying to my ferritin above 12. Hct is holding around 52% and my iron is back down into the normal range instead of 322. I had no idea I could hit iron overload that quickly.

Sounds like you're doing well. Best wishes for continued good health!
