If the hair wasn't cut there would have been numerous epidemics of typhus. Most of the people who came to the camps were brought from the East where typhus ravaged entire villages.

The hair was cut for sanitation purposes only. Not because the Germans wanted to steal it and make pillows for their wife or other silly stories. Some of the hair was infact deloused and was said to have been used in u-boats.

I could ask the same question regarding many other pictures. Dr. Karl Brandt did nothing wrong in my opinion and that is true in regard for many other party members and soldiers. I see no reason to defame a soldier's name just because he belonged in the Waffen-SS or in the Wehrmacht.
