Burnout happens. You have put a lot of energy into this so far, and sometimes you need time off. Your body is especially going to need a rest if you have exercised too much, or have eaten too little.

I missed this most recent update.

So, at the start of September you weighed 340lbs. You now, only TWELVE weeks later, weigh 285. 50+lbs in 12 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man, that should be the spark and motivation you need. The biggest motivation (other than Pumping Iron & Blood and Guts) is results.

You are giving yourself 7 months to lose the next 35lbs. Whilst it's wise to readjust your goals based on the fact that you weight loss will naturally slow with time, I reckon you'll smash through 250 by April.

Mate, get your head right, get back on the bike, lift some weights, get some sleep and you'll be good. There's plenty of support her for you whenever you need it.

This is a great great read and look how much a human can do with abit of education on nutrition and moving around more rather than poking around the body with scales and bands. This thread is going to help so many more people with the same goals. Newjuice I take my hat off to you. You've done amazing but keep it up bro, your body will give away fat at different rates through your weight loss. You'll start to see it drop off again when the time is right. Keep lifting heavy man.

Hey guys. checking in again since being 285 i am now 280.1 as far as clothes i told every one to get me 2 xl shirts instead of the 3-4 xl i was wearing lol.

The motivation wasnt so much about me but "girl" situations that kinda left me down and depressed.. we all been there done that haha.Still dieting trying to get that fight back i had when i first started the whole reason this started for me was because i like this girl and am doing it for her but i also know i have to do it for myself.

now being 280lbs pretty much 60 lbs loss and only 40 from my goal i really see me hitting this mark within another 4 months of hard work building alot more muscle mass so maybe ill be heavier but in better shape. My lack of motivation will be stopped by joining a gym i know the fact im there will make me work harder instead of working out at home.

my diet has opend up i finally relised i can eat normal but watch my calories fats and carbs excersise is just the key to losing the weight

need a new belt also lol mines getting to big i cant wait to hit my goal and see if i have the courage to post a before and after photo in the same shirt.

you all are wonderful motivation and it helps a ton im bout to go hit the bow fflex now take care.

bold: yes, like stem said, do this for you!!! as far as the other bold, you need to realize that you cannot just eat anything and exercise and everything will be all hunky dory. you seem to have your mind wrapped around the concept of a diet, but lets see what you have been having on a daily basis. i want to praise you for your hard work and weight loss, but do not lose sight of your goal, still 40 to go! keep it up!

Top work mate, another 5lbs is great.

I guess buying new clothes is great but also a bit of a bummer due to expense bt it's worth it.

Mate, there's no harm posting pics whenever you want, there'll only be admiration from all on here for turning your life around, nobody is gonna say anything derogatory.

And yes, you need to do this for you. Not a girl, not family, not friends. This is your journey and, as much as other people support you, your the one who has to deal with it 24/7. Keep on it man.

    AND JOIN THAT GYM NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

great work--nothing like understanding the science behind this hole fitness thing. I had been working out for years with no growth or changes any where. diet sucked, formed sucked--35% bf. got iinvolved with sum support at local gym and fat n wate literally started melting off. U NEED TO JOIN A GYM FOR SUPPORT. this is def the right place for motivation and also education, as i am learning a lot about the science behind dieting--or why am i eating what im eating. this stuff is fun. lol losing all that bullshit, let my physique show.

Why hello all long time no update. well its my birthday on saturday and i wanted to be under 250. unfortunetly the weight loss has been tremendously harder to shed and i havent been working as hard as i know i could have. altho my diet has opend up and im not as strict as i was at the begining i have been keeping my calories under 3000 a day. when i was keeping them at 1500-2000 i was shedding weight very fast but didnt feel as strong as i was and im guessing i lost alot of lean muscle with it.

this by no means is an end as i am commited to now trying to hit the 200 lb mark one day and will make this a life journy for my benefits and self confidence.

i would like to thank all of you who helped me in the begining and responded and gave me feedback whose to say i would of stuck with it if no one took the time to respond and give there 2 cents its a great thing to do.

heaviest weight was 340. start of this thread i was 325. current weight is 248. <-- still got a ways to go till 200 but its under 250 and the first time i have been this weight since i was probly 20.

hopefully the next update is soon i still need to get my butt into a gym and tone up but its comming along

thanks guys. the lowest i hit was 244. then introduced more carbs into my diet then went to 252. usually i wake up at 248 and weigh 250 by bedtime.

i def need to re configure my macros and hit the weights hard. i was looking into getting a bmi professionaly done and see what they can do to help and tell me my resting metabolism rate so i know exactly how many cals i need a day and of what, anyone know where i wld go to do this ?
