Send me a Turkish place in Brooklyn if you have one. I ate Turkish in Brighton Beach awhile back and the food was awesome but I never searched out a place since then. I grew up on Long Island so I didn't have much interaction with middle Eastern people or their food and I never realized how freaking good it is. Or how god damn hot the women are.
Wow what a coincidence lol. I take the J Robinson Pkwy to get down there and it's not far from where she lives. I'll be checking that place out for sure.

Sahara restaurant Brooklyn. Been there twice and food is amazing. Ask to be seated outdoors. Tables are not as fancy but they have an outdoor garden which is amazing when taking the wife or gf. On Coney Island Ave between Avenue S and avenue U.

Another one is Horus grill on Kings Highway but that's more of a hookah lounge with food.

    Thank you for the tip

Went with my current gf around a month ago and the place is half the size, play hip hop music which I like but was hoping for Arabic music, and no dancers lol . Two of my favorite spots are Ilili restaurant and Byblos restaurant. Former on 5th Ave and latter on Madison but about 2 blocks from each other. Both had good food and service last time I went. I agree, if a manhattanite leaves to go to Qns to eat it does say a lot. I'm interested since I don't live far from the city and the girl is from BK we are always around there. What's the place if you don't mind sharing? If you like Spanish food I could put you on a few really good hole in the walls lol.
I love Lebanonese tea, especially the pine nuts!

It's good stuff. I don't drink much tea but my mom makes it whenever I stop over.

Pine nuts to great with rice. Put a bit of butter and some line nuts in a pan on low/medium heat. When they brown a little bit to ahead and make rice as you normally would. We also use almonds in the rice as well.

I eat them all the time in my couscous.

The tea/lemonade has pine nuts in it. Only place I have had is in Baton Rouge. Went to some Lebanese places in Texas, asked for the tea, they immediately asked me if I was from Louisiana. Haha

You're lucky you're still here to talk about it. Others have not had your luck. I've been spanked and beaten myself. It did jack towards making me who I am today. I'd misbehave just to get hit again and see how much I could take. Then beatings stopped working and other resorts had to be taken. Again, it didn't do anything and was actually counter productive by making me want to do it more.
But see you are the exception to the rule and you were abused. That does not mean everyone who gets a spanking or even most are abused. Were talking maybe 1% and it works for most kids.

Doing nothing or having no consensus typically leads to criminal behavior.

Wow 3rd night of raping robbing and looting in Ferguson Missouri! I'm loading up my truck and headed that way to pick me up some free goods. anybody need any free stuff while I'm there. I can get you what you want for a steal.

Looks like I wont be stopping at quick trip there though.

All this with the killing of one kid. Now imagine if more were killed. i have been told stories of how this took place once in Kansas City Long ago when Dr. Martin Luther King was shot and killed. Many houses and businesses went up in smoke. the police guarded most white peoples houses and businesses so the black people burned their own businesses and homes. That part I never did understand. I understand the frustration but there has to be a better way.

Update...Well it turns out that the two who were trying to be arrested, turns out they had just hit a store and stole a bunch of stuff. The store has video of the incident. the kid who was shot and killed was only about 400 pounds and 6 foot 4 but hey he was just a small kid who the cops didn't need to shoot right? even though he did nothing to comply with the officer? And resisted arrest. hmmm Yeah turns out these two small innocent kids were neither small nor innocent. but boy to hear the crowd who was breaking into Walmart and other stores stealing everything not bolted down. well all of them can't be wrong now can they? Even his mother was on air talking about her son being pure as the driven snow. Never stole anything and was always in church. yeah uhuh.........

Yeah Christmas came early in Ferguson Missouri. Santas helpers were at the walmart picking up led tv's, stereos, clothes, shoes, tools, food. but for some reason they didnt like the neighborhood quick Trip so they torched it down. Probably cause the gas pumps would not dispense free gas.

There are 3 eyewitness accounts that say there was a struggle at the car, then a shot was fired, then the kid ran, then the cop chased him down and it appears, executed him.

The fact that he robbed a store is irrelevant. The fact that he was 6'4" and 300 is irrelevant. As soon as he started running he was no longer a threat to the cop. He had no right to shoot him.

If he had been shot during the struggle at the car this would be a different discussion. But he wasn't. The cop made a conscious decision to chase the kid down and shoot him. The fact that the PD won't release the incident report leads me to believe it makes them look bad.

Unless the PD can come up with something way different than the story out there it looks like first degree murder.

Sounds like a bunch of opinions and not facts. So any criminal who runs from police they shoumd just let them go? I don't think it works like that.

His size does mater in how much of a threat he is.

They were walking down the middle of the street blocking traffic also and didn't move when told to. They were looking for trouble and they found it.

There has to be something between letting them go and shooting them. It seems to me that running from the police shouldn't be a capital crime.

And yes, those are my opinions based on the information I have at this time. Since the police have decided not to release any information pertaining to the incident or refute any of the statements made by the eyewitnesses, that is what I have to go on.

If more information comes to light in the future I will revise my opinion.

Also, I think his size only matters in a confrontation. Like I said, if the cop had killed them in the middle of the struggle I wouldn't have a problem. I would take one look at that kid and not want to have anything to do with him. Of course I'd be giving up 6 inches and 110 pounds.

Surely you don't believe a police officer executed him in the street. That's hilarious that anyone would make that story up and expect people to believe it. He jumped the cop and tried to take his weapon he probably thought the officer knew it was him that robbed the store.

Cops only kill blacks. They let all the white ones go free.

Yes, some people believe cops target black teens so they can execute then in the streets. If you don't believe me just look at the mobs; I mean protesters.

There eye witness report that i tried posting and they didn't know they were being recorded but i don't have enough posts. He came after the cop in the street is why he was shot multiple times.

Also, on the tape you reference there are several people saying, "They shot him for no reason" Why do you choose to believe one person commenting in the background and not the others?

My response that he was executed is based on the accounts given to the media by the three eyewitnesses that have come forward. According to all three accounts, 1) he was running away when he was shot in the back 2) he turned around, put his hands up and was shot several more times. That's an execution.

There is a tape with a man saying something in the background. Until that person is found (probably easy) and tells his story to the police (probably not so easy) what is said on the tape is meaningless.

I don't understand why people keep saying he was shot for assaulting the cop. Everyone agrees, (police, eyewitnesses) there was a struggle at the car. Everyone agrees there was a shot fired in the car and the victim ran. At that point the threat is no longer there. You now have a second incident. I've said repeatedly that if he had been shot while struggling with the cop we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Here is the link to the video you reference since you don't have enough posts to put it up. The exchange you are talking about happens at around the 6:30 mark. It's hard to make out because of the background noise.

But, I would like you listen to the entire video and pay particular attention to the crowd in the background at the following times: 2:38, 3:40, 5:25, and 8:15. If we are going to believe what is said in the background of a video then we must give equal weight to all things heard. Picking on statement out of a 10 minute video is selective.

Well there's definitely a problem here. Maybe they will get it all sorted out. But in the meantime...probably not a good idea to rob a convenience store in the first place. Just saying.

You mean rob a convenience store and then walk down the middle of the road blocking traffic and when the cops tell you to get out of the road you tell them no because you only have a little ways until home??? Sounds like they were looking for problems in the first place.

That kid was destined to wind up dead. Very poor attitude eventually a store owner would have shot him anyway because obviously he was not going to just rob one store and quit...strong arm robbery..lmao. what a tiny store owner I felt sorry for the guy getting run over like that. Now i still dont know whether or not kids death was justified...yes or no I think he would eventually bitten the bullet sometime very soon
