Love this thread. Something positive :-)

Not hunted for close to 18-years which is the last time I had a chance to head out with dad. Spent 8-hours in the silence seeing absolutely nothing. Was still worth every damn minute of alone time. Dad is getting a bit old for hunting so not sure that will happen again and I do not have the drive to do it myself.

Has anyone else seen this. This dude is awesome. I watched it on pbs a long time ago. He even carved wooden hinges for his door.

Using color footage he shot himself, Proenneke traces how he came to this remote area, selected a homestead site and built his log cabin completely by himself.
