    August Most Improved Competition

    Competitors please post your pictures before and after here. Spectators please no comments until everyone has posted their pictures so we can keep them all together. Picture deadline is 6 pm est 8/14/20017

    4 pictures. Front relaxed. Rear relaxed. Front double bicep. Rear double bicep.

    Also post your beginning stats.

    Guys last time the competitors posted in the comp thread and kinda got lost. I'd like this to have a lot of exposure and have a lot of views. If you are doing a log post it in the lounge area NOT the comp area. Let's see how it works. That way everyday you are there and everyone will see them follow them and post in them. Thank you.

    This is a 12 week Competition.

    Not perfect pics and I don't have anyone to take them so one arm is in use lol.

    Stats: 170cm tall (5'7"), ~78kg (171lbs). These are "pre cycle" pics taken today.

    You look great from the front a lot bigger than 170 but pictures tell a different tale than the eye. I'd say row row row and deadlift bring that back up and you got it

    Tonight's workout;

    Pullups 16+6neg, 12+4n, 8+4n
    Vbar cable row 65*12,12,12
    Machine pulldown 50*16,20,16
    Db row 40*10,12,12
    Db curl 22,5*7 17,5*6,6

    Getting weaker on curls, forearm swelling up and even causing elbow pain.

    Thanks. Yeah it wasn't until now after I saw my rear db bicep that my back sucks. I do lots of deadlifts but apparently my rows and pulldowns are not enough. Good eye opener.

    Good question. Yes I go to failure if the exercise allows it. For rows its failure on the last set. Theres something with back training, if I use as much weight as I can lift then I can train really hard but won't get that much of a pump in the back, or sore the day after. I am thinking of doing volume training for rows and pulldowns, with chinups/pullups and deadlifts being the only exercise I train HIT style

    Are you pulling with your back like DY - or legs and hammies with correct form - both work very well gotta find your comfort zone - pinch those shoulder blades back chest high & lock your tris out b4 even atempting the lift!

    If not start using straps - I hate when people say if you can't lift it without straps you shouldn't be.... That's Bullshit! Our back is sooo much stronger than our hands/forearms & biceps... PERIOD!

    Thanks for the heads up cape... sorry I'm late guys. My goal here is to lean out but hopefully not lose too much size. But I might change my mind... in my heart I'm always wanting to get bigger.. that's why I got into this sport but I also don't want to be "fat big."

    Current stats are:

    6'2" 225lbs
