I actually just went to the low rep range. I normally do a 15/12/10/8 rep scheme. I think my body needed this change. I was growing off cycle when I changed to low reps.

No peptides or growth drugs yet, but I am looking into them. I know that you previously swore by them.
I have low test so I usually run low test when off cycle.
The last cycle I stopped everything for a couple of weeks.

"good fucking morning" -- enjoyed hearing those words every time. not a 'fan boy' by any means but definitely was entertained by him and was a fan. his biggest attribute, besides being big, was he was a pretty smart business man, and he never let that go to his head and still helped and motivated other people.

I didn't learn a lot about 'bodybuilding' 'anabolics' 'training' or anything like that from Rich.. but I didn't follow him for those things (some people did). What I did learn is that if you work as hard as Rich did , you can succeed at whatever your passionate about. its all about putting in the work

The "bro" approach to 'feeder workouts' has a bit of science to go with it and is practiced (ie, promoted) to a certain degree by pretty smart people in the science side . its not labeled as 'feeder' though ,, they officially call it "CELL SWELLING WORK" . and it has to do with shoving a bunch of blood and nutrients into your muscle cells APART from your normal workouts . it can also help with recovery . doing super high rep "cell swelling work" for example on biceps (separate from your normal arm workout) is going to have benefits IMO.

so NO they are not catabolic at all . IF it aides in recovery and helps promote blood flow and nutrient delivery

'feeder workouts' can be a useful tool .. however they shouldn't completely replace your main workouts and a focus on mechanical tension and some progressive overload. we should select our 'tools' wisely based on our needs at the specific time

Cool man thanks. Rich said it was his most valuable weapon, but...im very concerned about the gains killers CNS and cortisol.
But i save your input in my knowlegefiles.

agreed . we have to keep tabs on accumulated stressors from training. . But I think feeder sets are way less stressful and useful to hypertrophy then would be a 'one rep max' on bench or heavy singles. the CNS disturbance for those far outweigh the benefits.
so I'd rather see guys do feeders then one rep maxes and heavy singles.. for bodybuilding that is.

Nice, very nice. Really like the patina and they did a great job of using faceted geometry to define the shape. Whoever did it is a real artist!

Yes i was very pleased. So i ordered another one to get symmetri in the livingroom.

I think i also will ask him to make me a sculpture of my another friend in life, Spartacus the great dane.
He could do stainless steel also. So when Don gets a buddy, i will offer Spartacus to be memorized in stainless steel

That would be very nice and especially appropriate if Spartacus was a fawn Great Dane! The stainless would be a nice contrast to the patina of Don. Whoever is doing that work is very, very good with a TIG torch, excellent control of the amount of filler rod, a genius at shearing the pieces to make the profile, and just flat out knows their craft. Seriously a true artist!

I give u his link if u want. But there were problemes. It was too expensive for him to use fedex or such to bring this big item to norway, so he had to use a friend who drove from Moscow to Oslo by truck. I guess his friend brings lots uf other stuff. Sending to the states, i guess would be costly.

Btw..hows your dogs doing..those Kings of kings English Mastiffs. Are they stil around?...new ones?
Shame the great danes and the big mastiffs have short life.

I managed to give Spartacus 9 good years. Even if he was dieing at 6. His stomach turned. But..we fixed it..gave him special food for 3 years and it seemed like he enjoyed the rest of his life.

Does anyone here have a secret to leg growth?
I have made changes and my legs are growing however I am in the category with the big guys and they have huge ass legs.
I am presently working quads one day a week. I am going low reps to failure- I will throw in a ham exercise at high reps
I work the hams on a separate day the same way and throw in a quad exercise at high reps.
    Any recommendations?

I ask the same. I lost my legs cutting in this summer. I tried Pianas high reps continous tension, but noway. Now i have started a heavy 6 reps full motion squatpolicy...but...i really dont know.

But hey..legs are advanced...even Levrone made a fool out of himself because he couldnt find the secret tip to bigger legs.

I've been able to keep my calves growing. but since my back surgeries and not being able to hit squats and leg press (or any press) heavy, my legs have shrunk.. that tells me, for me at least, fairly heavy load WITH volume builds big legs.
because of my back issues I can go heavier on leg press calf raises then standard leg press (no wonder my quads aren't growing)

The split works well but you have to change things up and you also have to take time off from heavy pressing, just a week or two.

I have 4 different workouts, all had extensions as warm ups.

    1. Extension/curls/calves warms up's with medium weight/intensity then hack and v's being my heavy/main exercises
    2. Extension/curls/calves warm ups with medium weight/intensity then squatting being my main heavy exercise
    3. Extension/curls/calves warm ups with medium weight/intensity then deading being my main heavy exercise
    4. Heavy extensions/curls/calves with lighter high rep single legs pressing (kind of an off week for heavy work, legs need some time after a while to recover, all the heavy extension/curls stretches the muscle and fills with blood, getting them ready for punishment again..

No you can do different things, I couldn't lunge because of my knee so you could do those, didnt have a good leg press so I didnt do those heavy but you could. Add in some more little things but put all you have into your intensity of your heavy exercises, I think many people do to much for legs.......intensity trumps extra sets. Its just a template of the change you need to stimulate muscle growth plus the week off of pressing. Sometimes "less is more".....GooSe.

Edit: Also when it comes to doing a split you cant do both heavy days, one week quads heavy and then a complimentary ham workout then switch it. I found split was fine while on cycle but I did better with one work out a week while off. Kel has a great way of doing a split, it was over 10 days and not a normal 7 day......thats a better idea.
