i'm starting to see more and more 16-17 year olds on the board. I know a lot of people are really against this, however, i am not totally against it. Yes, i believe that they should not be allowed into the steroid forum. But, I as well as many of you i'm sure wish that you had the dieting and work out knowledge when you were that age instead of having to wait til your 20's to really get a good base. i was fat and worthless in high school cause i didnt know how to eat right and train correctly......maybe its just me but i dont think they should be flamed as much as they are.

DITTO, and besides regardless of race, gender or sexuality no one here should be flamed. Both flaming of members and underaged members should be brought to the attention of a Moderator.

thats true, i never really thought about other straight bodybuilding sites.....however, like it was also stated, ppl could just be lying about there age, and i'm sure a lot of ppl on here are........its to bad that there are parents like that, that will be quick to blame the site, and not the kid but that is how it goes because this site has a lot of good info that could still help.

I think maybe both sides have a good argument here. For me I'd have to agree that kids should not be allowed to use this board, cos like CARLOS said, wat about mom and dad ? Unless there is some sort of agreement process between the parent and the board. But that would be impossible to know weather it was the parents agreement or just a kid pretending to be the parent

Just to throw in my .02 when I was underage not too long ago I just lurked here. I gotta agree with the current rules here for carlos' reason, but in my situation I was going to the gym and really didn't have a clue what I was doing. I looked around here, found out I didn't know what I was doing, and now know a little little bit of what I'm doing . Some of the medical terms and more technical stuff still go over my head from time to time but I know a HELL of alot more before I found this board.

So how do you keep underaged kids from (gasp!) SAYING that they are grownups? I might only be 14, for all anybody here knows. That said, yeah, the official and stated policy should be NO MINORS for the reasons already stated in other posts.

That doesn't mean that I don't think kids should be educated about AAS. Curious kids will seek out information anyway... often from the wrong source. They will experiment, given the opportunity because they don't know any better. They should be made very clear on why kids in particular should not mess with gear until they are physically fully adults and have a solid background of precise and intense training behind them. There should be a forum for them to discuss questions they have about gear with knowledgeable folks.

I hate them too, my children are in and out of my room regularly and have seen (and commented unpon) some of the avatars here. My wife has questioned them too, believing I was chatting with the chics in the photos. People, don't laugh because its been the cause of more than one heated discussion here.

Yeah same here...

When my boy is with me and I visit this site I usually turn off the images in my broswer. I asked him to please not visit pornographic web sites (he's 11 and in the last few months hornier than heck) so seeing me visit "sites with naked ladies" is a pretty poor example on my part...

I also turn off the images at work for obvious reasons...

As for teens on this board, it's simlpy not their place. The liability issues for the board owners alone is pretty scary.

I agree with ya. THese kind of avatars seem VERY out of place on a fitness site. Maybe if it were a board just for chatting (like the lounge) it would be different, but I always have to worry at work when checking out the site not because of the topics, but b/c of naked ppl in avatars.

alot of the conversations on this board have 'zero to do with fitness". Not gonna even bother point out some of the crazy topics on this board that are just kinda weird.

Anyone stop to think that the half naked thong pictures might offend some of the female member's of the board? Do you think they want to see that?

Everything has the potential to offend somebody. That thread about hunting ferrets might have bothered a vegan...I guess my point is that this is the internet and not real life. ITs a board that anyone can up for and push the limits. There are alot of weird individuals in society, and the anonomity of the internet is definetely not the arena to try to police those type of individuals. In real life I would be the first to stop someone if i thought they were sayign something offensive...but the internet is a completely different story. Yes it would be nice for folk to apply real life people skills on this boardand not lye about pics or other sh it but I don't think scolding them oin this board is gonna help the underlying issue of why a 35 year old virgin who lives with his moms feel the need to put a female of a thong in his avatar.
