    Book Suggestions?

I am tired of passing my time playing xBox. It is time to do a little reading. Unfortunately, I have hard time finding things I like.
Mostly, I like military history books. However, I loved the Illiad. Even more puzzling is when I decided to read The Republic for fun.
Don't draw from this that I am well read...as I am very embarrassingly not.

I like military history, mythology, philosophy, anything to do with ancient Japanese, Chinese, Greek, or American Indian culture.

Layu it on me...even if it doesn't fit these particulare genres. What have you read recently that you would recommend?

You got an ISBN for that one...I might want to get it.

So far, this looks good guys. I have read several of those listed, even Deca's advanced reading (they teach that in the grad classes at FSU...trust me).

Keep 'em comin', cause I'm writin' 'em down!

Ender's Game, Ender's Shadow, and there are a few other good books in that series but some of them suck. Something simple and fun to read like Harry Potter might be a nice change of pace.

Try an NIV or amplified Bible. Not being a smartass, good stuff in there, the Old Testament if you can get past the weird names (skip Numbers btw).

That's alright, I'm multilingual (english, ebonics, redneck, hick gibberish, swamperspeak, hillbillyese)....would you like a translation?

He is saying that people who like Harry Potter (people like you and me) are reclusive freaks and because of his derogatory statement about said people, we will be attacking him in the posts to follow.

Too bad he fails to realize that people who naturally gravitate toward that type of reading tend to be more intelligent than those who favor his recent conquest....Horton Hears a Who, so we can just overlook his mindless "southern hick gibberish."

    3. NO, PULLING out IS NOT a RELIABLE method of Birth Control. DAMMMMIT..... Wrap that shyte UP!!

Women over 30 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you, if they think they can get away with it.

For all those men who say, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free". Here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage, why? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire Pig, just to get a little sausage.
