5000K is a good bulking intake of GOOD BALANCED calories (fat, protien AND carbs) and YES you can eat to much and store fat while bulking, its just a matter of getting the right balance for your genetice, cycle and goals.
You need to ramp your cals up slowly, otherwise you'll get fat.Start at your maitenance cals and ramp up cals each week til you hit 5k.Originally Posted by tiger909

Yes it will(metabolism) from the drugs, plus eating more frequently(6-8 mini meals ED).Originally Posted by tiger909
To avoid excess fat..eat clean, ramp your calories slowly during the cycle, and cardio a few times a week is always a great idea.

no, 5k is not good for everyone. if you weigh 250 to start your not gonna maximize your gains like someone who is maybe 200 eating 5k a day. it all depends on your weight and your body type. follow the bulking sticky in the diet section. if your not gaining what you think is enough, which probably will happen, up it 500 cals and so on.
how much would you advise bumping it up by week by week.Originally Posted by Pinnacle

Check the diet forum - in one of the stickys - I dont remember which one - there is a formula for determining how many cals you need to maintain or build muscle based on height, weight, age and activity level. I found it very helpful. Also remember that the more cals you add, the more important it is to eat correctly - clean, good balance of macros, at evenly spaced intervals. You still cant suck down huge meals at once - your body only uses so much and stores the rest as fat.
