androgel or testosterone gel

has anyone ever tried using androgel or topical testosterone gel, I have a friend that said he had some and he would give it to me if i wanted it, it was prescribed to him by a doctor. Will it help or what??

i think the doses are like 50-100mg per dose, so it can get VERY expensive

he said he had like 30days worth, I am wondering if that is even enough or what it will do.
