My home computer thinks it belongs to a network.. i guess the networking card did something when I connected my mp3 player.. God knows..

The people at my Internet provider told me my computer is confused.

It keeps grabbing ip address assigned to a network from the server and the service i use says there’s nothing they can do.

I think the computer belonged to a network before it belonged to me and has somehow reverted back to it's original settings.

I have already rebooted the computer and reset the modem and unplugged the modem and all the power cords and checked to ensure they are all plugged in correctly.

I have also, Click on Start the Run then type in cmd into the command line you get. You will then get a black screen, type in ipconfig/all and give us the results of that output, and it is definitely is grabbing a network ip address.

I do have a router.. do u think this will solve the problem and if so is there anything special i gotta do to hook it up.

I’m at work right now not on my home computer..
