what an absurd comment. everyones viewpoint is different, his eyes are likely fine. i think the bodies of today are far more impressive and head turning, but, i also think they all look the same. in the arnie era, each bodybuilder looked much different as far as muscle mass, symettry, proportions and conditioning went. there was more variety

Creatine freaks LOL. I dont think creatine contributed musch to the advancement in physique today.

I prefer the like of dexter jacksons physique to any of the guys back in arnolds day. For me a lot of them had incomplete development, with weak legs and chest and bicepps thah overpowered everything else, that seemed to be the prefered look back then.

Anold started using roids at the ripe age of fourteen. Dbol was one of his favourites. Except for using roids on a regular basis he trained like an animal - something you do not see anymore lately. If only he had the resources the 'great' BB's of today have got to their availability.

But he is still in my opinion the greatest single figure ever in bodybuilding - no one can take that away from him no matter what. He made bodybuilding what it is today (well...what it was until freak shows with GH guts started to rule the sport...)

Take some time and go read his Unauthorized biography (by Wendy Leigh) - it will give you a great window as to what he used, what his life was all about and who Arnold really is...

    I completely agree...

I think the days before arnold were even better, the days of steve reeves...18.25 arms, and a 52 inch chest, completely natural. I think he was the greatest bodybuilder ever, but I believe arnold has had the greatest impact on bodybuilding. He made bodybuilding what it is and isn't. Arnold's body is so much more appe****g than say ronnie coleman's: what a freak, what a gut. There's no way I'd want to look like ronnie, I'd much rather look like arnold...

LOL are you serious? I think the advancement in protein powders and MRP"S has had a much greater effect than creatine, if we are solely talking about natural sups.

Creatine adds a bit of water weight and some strength gains, any gains made on it are false and dissapear after cesation of use. Arnold would not look any different with the addition of creatine.

The improved quality, taste and convenience of protein powders since arnolds day has being dramatic, and would likely have had a positive influence on his physique.

Yeah, the new Dodge Chargers and Chev Camaro concept cars are far superior in technology, but you gotta respect the classics.

No one knows what age he started, what he took, for how long, what his PCT protocol looked like and how he stacked AS, but, him. Maybe a few others, Franco possibly.

back then the bulk of their steroid usage was deca, primo, dbol, and test, winny didnt even really come into the scene until the late 70's from what I hear. And the dbol back in the day was far better than the dbol nowadays

Some old timers claim the old Ciba Dbol was more effective than the other brands available today.

Could be them just being old fashioned and stuck in there ways, i have no personal experience as i wasnt even born then.
