long island might be too far away as well .... as I'll most likely be living in the rockland/westchester area ... anyone know of anything a lil closer ?
bump ... anyone ?
u should be able to find one in westecheser/bronx area, do a google
i train at ray longos. great school, great people, great training. we have a few guys fighting pro.. luke cummo from tuf2, pete "drago" sell who tapped phil baroni a while back, plus both matt and nick serra train their standup games over there, as well as a few solid muay thai competitors. alot of the mma guys who train at rays also train at the serra's jiu jitsu school, idk if mma is your thing, but our team is the serra-longo comp team.
otherwise, if the island is too far, im sure you could get some info with a search on the net.
If you're going to be in NY, go check out Renzo Gracie's BJJ school. Even if you don't want to train BJJ, he could definately point you in the right direction. If I were you, i'd train BJJ with Renzo!

Very true. Not sure of the exact dollar ammt, but you are definately paying alot to train there
i think i heard something like 225 per month w/ 12 month contracts.. dont hold that as an exact figure but i believe i heard that in passing conversation..
Holy Sh*t.. that's a ton but i believe it. He definately has to do a 12-month contract, but as far as the monthly dues, your paying for quality instruction. Renzo teaches most of the time himself and as far as BJJ schools go, Renzo's school is top of the list.Originally Posted by shutup171
George St. Pierre drove there every couple of weeks from Canada to train for his fight with B.J. Penn. (FYI)
If you got the bills, it's the place to be!
