Wow. Im sorry but If you live in America, you need to speak English. Same thing if I went to Mexico..I wouldnt expect them to speak english to me..
i find this hard to beleive any articale on this
Yeah, same. Sounds extremely unlikely.
Why am i not ****ing suprised...boy must be nice to go to war and fight and die for a country that caters to foreigners..i mean god forbid you speak the national language.

It actually pisses me off a lot. I was talkin online with an AR buddy after I saw this thread and I just went off for like 30 minutes about this and similar stuff...

Ditto for me...
I happen to like Spanish speaking people, Mexicans or what not.
But I think this is highly unlikely.
Absolute crap. Come on guys, do you seriously think the US government would do that ?
**** that shit.

I am sure he would say something similar.
Give them time, the boiling frog theory (little by little) and things eventually add up.

Well I'm a Mexican and a U.S citizen and I don't think they would change it to spanish. I think that California and Texas and maybe Arizona are mostly hispanic or latin states but still these don't make up the whole country as a whole. So I think people are just making things up.

Yeah I heard Texas is like 58% hispanic or somethin like that
the US gov't WILL NOT do that man .... cmon ..... if you believe that the US will permenantly change the NATIONAL ANTHEM into spanish(which i speak), then ur an idiotOriginally Posted by muriloninja
and ninja as far as ur quote goes ... these are two totally diff things .... It's a good thing that they banned prayer/removed the commandments from public places ........ not everyone believes in the same thing ...... prayer in school/ten commandments in public is a way of forcing religion onto society .... thats y we have our first ammendment right

NO it won't, it may be translated but it will never be you haver to say it in spanish.
This thread is stupid. I'm watching the news. An artist recorded the National anthem in Spanish. No one is asking it to be officially recognized or changed to Spanish. If someone wishes to sing and record it to any language, let them. So what.

i say if a spanish-speaking american wants to show devotion to the country by singing the anthem in a language that is easier for him then by all means... i'd be proud to be standing next to a mexican-american singing in his native tongue alongside me at a baseball game.

I like the idea of a spanishspeaking person being able to say the pledge of allegiance. But I woul;d be severely opposed if they wanted to change it nationally!
That's why this whole big hoopla is pointless. That is not happening.Originally Posted by novicenovicen

If you press 2 for a Spanish speaking operator you get one faster because everyone is in queue for English. I learned this long ago.Originally Posted by chest6
