Quad Shots and Knee Weakness - A little long

I posted something about this awhile back in the Workout forum thinking that my issue may be related to working out, but here is what I am noticing.

I would say the past few months, when I squat down, without any weight, I have trouble getting back up. It seems that in that position that I do not have the strength to get back up sometimes. It is just at the beginning when I am trying to stand up. It is weird. It don't really hurt in my knees or anything.

I started thinking that maybe I was working my legs too hard, so I gave legs a break for about 3 weeks now. Nothing really changed and I am starting to doubt that was the cause. Then I started thinking....I started doing quad shots about 3 months ago roughly. That is all I do now. My current cycle I am shooting a little over 3 cc's per quad per week. They are painless, but I noticed that the last shot I did felt a little odd in my knee. Not pain or anything, but the same type of feeling that I get when I try to stand up.

Could quad shoots cause something like this?

    Sorry for the long post.

Izicc, I don't think the inject should effect muscle or joint strength, at least not in my exp or from what I have heard. That being said to clarify the issue for yourself I would switch sites around, for at least a month avoid all quad shots, see if this makes any difference.

As an afterthought, do you feel any pain at all when you get to this point, or do you just feel out of gas?

one out of every 10 injections gives me a weak/extra sore feeling.
You could have aggravated a nerve, or the oil may have balled up in a compromising area of the muscle. Could be anything.
My right glute hurts a little worst than usual this week. I usually get no pain anywhere. I think in this instance I just injected right through scar tissue.

I simply don't inject quads until after I train legs. I also changed up my workout again, as I usually do every 5-8 weeks. I only train legs once per week now, but it's a grueling 1.5 hour workout. this gives me the opportunity to train them hard and then gives them plenty of time to recover.

I know this doesn't really specifically answer your question, but I just wanted to share my thoughts.

I don't have any pain when trying to stand up and I could say that the joint feels ok, it just seems like I do not have the stength in my legs to get me started to stand back up. Once I get moving to get back up, I'm fine.

What is also odd is I can squat with weights not problem and leg press no problem. I am only going to parallel when I do workout squats though. This problem mainly happens when I squat down to do something and I am in the fully squatted postion (atg). I don't seem to have the initial strength to get started up.

What are you shooting in your quads? What is your knee position when you are having trouble getting up?? Are your knees in front of your toes, over top of your feet, or behind the ankle? This may have something to do with the pain, or it could be just what you are shooting, or the amount before the quad has enough time to spread the liquid. You could try using your glutes and rotate sites more often giving the muscle enough time to rid itself of all the oil being pumped into them

    Hope this helps
