    Vitamin C for weight loss????

    Read that 1000mg to 1500mg of C can increase metabolism?? Also though can cause some GI upset when taken too much of on a daily basis. Anyone have success or failure with it?? thanks

    i take about 12-15g every day. i lovge it. ever sincei have started taking it my mood, energy, and seeimingly my metabolism have gone up. i also hear that 3 or so grams before bed helps reduce cortisol overnight ????

    Nova, just one quastion, i am a pharmaceutical rep and i have asked several doctors about C and they have reported some patients with GI upset, do you experience this at those high amounts?

    no, i haven't tried to reach an upper limit. i can successfully take in 12-15g and be ok. i di this gradually over a few months in feb. of this yaer when istarted at 6g ED and worked my way up to double that. i think spreading it out tino 1-2g doses sometimes 3 (before bed). alleviates a lot of the "intestinal distress" if you will.

    Yeah, unless your taking crazy amounts, C should do nothing but good for your body!
