No one knows, as yet. I have just wacthed a 6hr documentary on it, it's very interesting, but it can be difficult to understand. It's about how fast things happen, and it goes back over a billion years ago. It basically says that one day our minds won't be able to comprehend what's going on due to such fast changes. It's really interesting, but as I said, it's hard to understand, especially if you don't know much about it. I will watch the doco again, I am interested in this now.

it basically jsut says, their Calendar ends in December of 2012. They arent saying the world is ending, the just the Calendar ends so many possibilites could happen. The Mayans were pretty smart with mathematics too. Very interesting topic

But I think the point where our minds could comprehend what is going on is long since passed. I hardly know how anything works in my daily life. All the technology and advancements happening. Its beyond anyones mind to grasp it all. The only thing we as individuals can do today is to become a expert at some small tiny part of the whole picture, but we can never understand it all.

As I said in the other thread it will be interesting the read the paper or watch the news on dec 24th to see how many idiots did stupid things that got them put in jail. Looting (what for when it's the end of the world) rapes, buying VERY expensive things or spending a LOT of money thinking you wont have to pay it back and I'm sure a LOT of other stuff.

Look at the morons who committed suicide like the group of 39 who claiming that a space craft was trailing the comet Hale–Bopp, On March 26, 1997. At first they though there was only 38 victims but then they found one more under the sink next to the comet.
