Im surrounded..Boyne Mountain, Boyne Highlands, and Nubbs Knobb. If you like skiing this is the place to be. Go figure that the state champs in skiing are always from around here.

LOL... wanna hear a funny story.

2 summers ago, a few friends and I rode our bikes to Mackinac so we could on on the island. So, we ride over, and spend the weekend. Well, on the way back, prior to going over the bridge, i stop and get gas at the Shell in Mackinac City. Well, my bike (Ducati 748R) had a screw on gas cap. So, the wife pulls up in her car and wants me to get her something from inside. I pay for the gas, get on my bike, and SLOWLY go over the bridge. Once I'm half way over the bridge, my nuts are literally burning. I'm like WTF? I was wearing a one piece leather race suit with nothing under it other than boxers. I pull over at the first exit after the bridge. I get off my bike, and my nuts are just burning like no tomorrow. I also smell gas. Come to find out, I forgot to put the gas cap back on, and 4 gallons of gas landed in my lap. My gas cap was still ontop the gas pump on the other side of the bridge. So, i go in the resturant, and literally wash my nuts in the sink. LOL

So, I call the wife, and she goes back and gets my gas cap. The problem is that I don't have any other clothes so I'm stuck wearing my leathers, which are entirely soaked in gas in the crotch area. Well, needless to say, I made it home (detroit) from the Mackinac Bridge in 1 hour and 51 minutes. That was the first and only time I ever topped out my motorcycle on the road.
