Is that a clean enough carb to add to oatmeal in the am or put on some bread? I'm sure i'm better off without it but it cant be as bad as sugar?

It is almost pure sugar. There are more total sugars and more fructose in honey than all but the highest high fructose corn syrup. Use in moderation.
