Not sure if this is the right forum for this type of question but, I have gotten a lot of info off these forums in the past so I figured it was worth a shot. I just started working out again (took about 1yr off) and, I plan on changing my diet back to what it used to be. I used to take protein shakes to meet the 1.0grams of protein per lb of bodyweight recomendation but, after discussing it with my endocrynologist she kind of advised against using whey and creatine. Creatine I can sort of understand (due to the way its delivered) but, the protein will kind of hinder my diet/lift performance/results. According to the Dr. they mentioned that my kidneys are already working hard and with the introduction of more protein to break down they will be working overtime. Just curious if anyone knows anything/anyone about how bad(if at all) adding whey to a diet impacts the endocryne system. Ty in advance.
