one for me sometimes 0... i like real food it keeps me fuller longer and thermogenic effects of real food cant be beaten with shakes

Its more like i drink 3 now but another 1 or so if i can fit it in. i also eat a ton, its just impossible for me to gain weight so i just eat everything and drink as many as possible. its definetly working but i have the metabolism of like a track star... im just a very very hard gainer

if your a tru hard gainer shakes wont solve your problem. real food is the key
i wish i could tell u how much food i eat. i eat more food then i drink by far which prob sounds nuts. but im one of those people who are always eating. like always. i no people say i feel like "i eat all the time"... but i really do eat all the time, and then when im driving ( i deliver food) i drink protien, when im not deliver, i just eat in the store like all day. its nice cause foods free. saves me so much cashOriginally Posted by FaizakaFez

you should really make up an eating schedule so you can see about how many calories you're eating each day and to make sure there are no big gaps in eating during the day. the main thing you want is to keep amino acids in your blood stream all day long, since most shakes are digested faster than real food you wouldnt want to have just a protein shake as a meal. but there is nothing wrong with adding a shake to your meals as long as you have another source of protein with it and of course some carbs. right before, during, and right after your workout is the main time when you want fast acting carbs and protein.Originally Posted by K.Biz

I say if it works well for him then why change it ? I know the majority of opinion (including mine) is to eat more whole foods than shakes, but if he is gainin off his current schedule I wouldnt see a need to change it unless the gains stopped

2 on training days 1 on non-training. I drink 1 every day in the middle on the night composed of EFA's and soy, micellar casein, cassienates and egg. After workout I also take in some whey, hydolyzed casien and egg white.
Drinking them INSTEAD of whole food is something I would only if it mean not eating which would only happen if I got in a car accident or something similar.

These are things you need to play around with not just EATING NON STOP or whatever you say you do. Plus I can almost guarantee you arent putting quality foods in your body if you are eating out for all your meals at the place you work.
Any more than 4 and you will probably crap out the majority of the benefits...

Thats alot of protien shakes, there is such a thing as to much protien in a diet too.
1 on non-training days right before bed, two when I train, PWO and bedtime.
0 on non training days 1-2 on training days...
