What is lowest BF % ever messured

What is the lowest a human can get down to? I saw that guy Bass i believe his name is, get to 2.5% i think it was .. Is it possible to get under 2% with calipers? We know sub-Q fat can be very low but still have viseral fat seeing weighed on water scale .. question is just can we go under 2% pinching? thanks

Yes, it is dangerous. Its not good and can lead to death and serious internal problems.

Highschool wrestlers have to get doctors notes below 7% I think. But its stupid because they all just dont eat for 3 or 4 days.. If one of them figured out how to diet right and spent 3 months before season working up to it, they would be awsome and have energy.

Your right I wreslted from elementery through highschool with a year of college. I started cutting in the summer, and wrestled right around 5% bodyfat. I am happy they are startying hydration tests now. Should teach guys how to cut properly. Even though I cut 5-7 pounds of water alot lol

i took jiujitsu since i was 5, and i started wrestling in high school. tournaments were always on fridays and saturdays, and most people wouldn't eat from like wednesday till weigh-ins. i think i may have been the only one in the district that ate normally all season.

But to answer the original question, yes it's possible, but it's definitely not healthy

I've been 3-site calipered at 1.3% bodyfat. My coach at the time doing it would do it every week same time same sites with pretty good accuracy (16 weeks). He actually calipered me 3 times that day just to make sure that he wasn't off. This was for a competition. With viseral fat included I was probably about 3.3%. I can tell you one thing, I felt like garbage and never want to be that low for more than the day of a show.

I'm pretty sure C. Bass said he was having joint problems when his bodyfat was that low.

Can BF calipers measure down to 0%? Yes. In fact, the digital calipers I use now will test you right down to 0% if you are that low, which would be sick!

I occasionally hit 6-8% bf with no ill effects...I have been that way since high school. When I was in wrestling, I was never allowed to cut weight class due to my low bf% so I would really shred the weight just before pre-season weigh-ins. That way I would have a couple weight classes to work with. Was this healthy?...probably not, but I wrestled in three state championships through high school which I probably would have had great trouble doing if I couldn't get down to the weight class I wanted/needed to wrestle at them times.

I now hit low teen bf% when I bulk and get back down to single digits when I cut...right now I am mid-bulk and bf% is 12%. Come summer, after cutting, I plan to get to 8% or less again...

When you get single digit bf% the body is just beautifully chiseled and the women love it.

Calipers at the best these days are plus or minus 2.5 %- 3.5 % accuracy, then next best is hydrodenistometry which is around plus or minus 2-3 % accuracy, anything that measures 0% trial error is measuring BF on a dead person through muscle and bodyfat composition. Just to let you know nothing is as accurate as they say they are.

Freshman year I wrestled 103...sophomore I was 112, junior I was 125, and senior year I was 130...I actually carried a little more weight around than I wrestled at, but these were the classes I wrestled competively at in years that I stated above.

It is amazing to think back on this now that I am asked this question...over 10 years later and I am about 100 lbs heavier today than I was when I wrestled back in high school, yet I can still manage to hold a single digit bf% after I cut.
