Macs, USB webcams and skype

Alright guys, does anyone know how to get a USB webcam working with skype on a mac?

the webcam is the logitech quickcam for notebooks deluxe, the mac is a g4 ibook with os x 10.4.8

according to this site all you need to do is download macam from

but thats not true and macam isn't helping. anyone know how to get it to work?

its my girlfriends, she lives in the US so I talk to her on Skype, an Isight was like 200 bucks or something retarded so when I saw that Macam would run a normal usb webcam on a mac I thought I was quids in, but i'm not.....

Anyway, I'm hoping carlos knows...I think he's the resident mac guru

I had this with my desktop G4, I never did get it working. screw that stupid computer and its turbo tiny keyboard. my beefy muscle fingers push like 4 keys at once. lol

but ya, I never did figure it out. now I dont have that system anymore so problem solved
