    hours of cardio after a cheatmeal?

    whats up fellas, i have this habbit of performing usually 2to3 hours of cardio or as much as i could handle(lower heart rate, usually elliptical) the following morning after a cheatmeal/drinking binge my question is, am what i am doing good for burning off the excessive 4000 calories that i consumed the night before/sometimes hours before or am i possibly burning away muscle? thanks for any input.

    Presumably, you have digested the cheatmeal by the morning and, therefore, have depeleted your glycogen levels.

    I'd say two to three hours is overkill...at least it would be for me. I usually go no more than one hour max as I feel anymore would sacrifice more muscle- during my last cut I upped cardio to an hour and felt as though catabolism played a role.

    I wouldn't go more.

    This is assuming that you are doing fasted cardio the AM following the cheat.

    I just generally do an hour of AM cardio, just be sure to down some BCAA's and amino's to get your body into some form of nitrogen balence, then go to town on the eliptical

    If thats you in your avy then looks like what your doing is working.

    However, a cheat meal should be a reward not a punishment. If you eat a large pizza or burger fries once a week then I wouldnt worry about it. (as far as drinks go Ehh shouldnt do it but you know that.)

    2-3 hours is a long time to do anything let alone boring ass cardio.

    an 1hr ok along with svts mention of bcaas but dont punish yourself by doing excessive cardio, in fact you should eat a cheat meal and save it for when you lift, Id rather burn it up lifting an extra set or two, at least thats fun.

    i do 20 minute session, but after cheat meal it will go from about 40minutes to an hour.
    you dont need anything more than that, i know its hard to get yourself to do that.
    but the cheat meal you have will burn straight through you, when you are dieting.

    I agree, if my body looked like that i dont think id change a thing....BUT i would cut it down to 1 hour max, just to see if it makes any changes for the worse, if not, save yourself the extra 2 hours and find something else to do
