    Put my Dog down today

    My dog on friday night, jusmped off my balcony chasing a squirl. And he broke his back, so the vet put him down today. This sucks

    Yeah, my balcony is 12 feet high, and he was a great dane, wasnt built to thak that fall.

    Just lost my dog too, he died of natural causes, remember him for the crazy mug he was

    it is soooo hard losing a dog, i feel your pain bro. After my rotties time comes I am not getting another b/c i cant take it anymore i just now got over my last dog that we put down 4 years ago! dogs when treated right give you the most unconditional affection of any species alive

    Sorry to hear bro, I had to put mine down in July after 15 years, I grew up with that dog. Just remember to stay strong and everything else will be ok.

    Thanks for the support guys, It does suck, every day all he wanted to do was please you. And Im the one to say kill him. I know its for the best, but I still feel like shit. So much for being a "tough guy" Its weird, I have no problem pointing my rifles at a human, but to give another man permission to put down my dog, makes me want to lose it emotionally.

    i statrted a thread"deca for my dog" almost 2 years ago.
    My great dane needed help w/ joint and arthritis problem,s, 16 years old.
    LOst him about 4 months after i started the thread. My condollences

    if it makes you feel better...i used to work for a vette. I promise you they don't feel anything when t hey are injected. They literally just relax... no tense moments or spams.

    I understand that, but still, poor dog dont know whats going on. Just picturing him all scared..............yeah, it bothers me. I need to let off some steam, Im going to the firing range.

    I feel you, I had to have cujo (part lab and rott) put to sleep and my beagle died a year later I just now after over two years my mom gave me a miniture dushound(sp?) he looks like a puppy black and tan coon hound and it's cool to come home and see him I didn't even want the new dog because I didn't want to go through that again but it really helped and I'm glad mom got it for me Cujo & Dog, gone but never forgotten

    My mom took cujo so I didn't have to witness it and she didn't tell me till I got home so it helped a little but I still to this day feel guilty that I was not with him (I'm sad now) Maybe cujo & dog is up there to welcome your dog, big fella is welcomed now
