    Muscle Tear

I slightly tore my right pec. Orthopedist suggested i lay off any chest exercise for 6-7 weeks. PISSED OFF! Anything that will help speed up the process?

F'n bummer bro. gotta hate an injury right in the middle of a cycle. There are things you can do to speed up the healing process. I used to know them all when I was in Pre-PT school but I forgot the names. The most effective include machines that PT's use to increase blood flow to an area. Basically sends sound waves into deep tissue causing them to vibrate causing friction which leads to increase tissue temps, which increases blood flow=faster healing times. Expensive though unless you have good insurance. Good luck
