Sent money under a fake name and a fake telephone number. Included "test question" so receiver doesn't have to show ID at his end.
Turns out: I had to specifically WAVE the ID requirement at his end, not just give a test question, when I placed the cash order. (Since when?)
Now: Recipient can't pick up the money, and I can't stop the money transfer because I don't have ID for the name I used, and can't call from the fake telephone number I used.
Sooo... money is forever trapped in the ether? Can't be claimed, can't be recalled?
It's all about "security", I'm told.
Ideas from experienced users??

Homeland Security is using the "fight against terrorism" to crack down on EVERYBODY'S business. Who's to say I wasn't sending the money to finance terrorism?
, when we really know we're just going after drug dealers, steroid users, money launderers, offshore gambling, etc. etc. "
