It was war against the french and Mexico it happened in a town called Puebla, Mexico. the amazing fact of this holiday is there were more French soldiers with experience than Mexicans. In Mexico to honor this day there are tons of festivals and of course they go to church to give thanks to god for winning the battle. They also get together with families have a big feast. It really is something to experience the holiday down there. Oh they also have fireworks too in the town were my family lives they have a big statue with fireworks (they are different than ours) they light the statue and the statue has moving parts and it twirls around it is amazing.
