    torn ACL

Hey guys, 3 weeks ago I had a bad spill and ended up (maybe) tearing my ACL. the doc is calling it a slight tear until I get an MRI in 2 months. I was wondering if while recovering, would doing a cycle effect the way I heal? or lead to differences in my surgery or anything I should be concerned with even thinking about this?

even, any cycles that would be suggested or not.

therapy on the leg in question is an absolute must if it is torn you want the muscles to be as strong as possible before surgery so that the amount of muscle loss will be minimal after surgery and you will loose muscle mass in that leg.i tore my right acl about 3 years ago had the surgery soon after ,my legs are still not the same ,and according what i was told they never will be due to loosing 2 muscles in the leg for the replacement tendons,my legs almost look the same but there is some muscular shape differences and size difference .dont over load that leg you dont want to do more damage just keep leg workouts at a therapeutic level to strengthen and maintain muscle mass until surgery if you even need it at all

I already have to wait 2 months for an MRI, then to see a surgeon, then to get surgery. I may be out a year at least before I even get looked at. how much can i do to my leg without overloading it?

be very careful until you have the MRI and know weather or not you need surgery. A cycle is not a good option at this time IMO.
