Why no news on Mrs. Benoit being twice the legal limit drunk when murdered

I would think that, that fact would stir some good debate.
I was watching news today.. and they did not mention at all that she had twice the legal level alcohol in her,,, they just said she was on Xanax..

than i read an article later on the situation, and there it mentioned her alcohol level was thru the roof...

Why was that fact ignored by the local tv station i wonder..

Of course Benoit is wrong for killing..

but if his wife was an alcoholic, depressed schizophrenic, and ofcourse we all know the kid had some issues too..

Toss in the fact that maybe Benoit also had some issues.. well than thats just a crummy situation to be in.. somewhere someone is going to lose it.

Yea I agree, and xanax is nothing to fk around with. Especially xanax and alcohol...

If you do anything without any sort of mental control, then I'd say its safe to assume its all the psychologically impacting DRUGS you're on. People don't realize that substances aren't always the answer. Alcohol is the devil, and it seriously just rots your state of well being away if you drink even regularly.

her BAC was that high due to decomposition..although I doubt the decomp caused it to be that high so Im sure she had some alcohol in her before he made her tap out!

If your mother,sister or daughter were murdered would you think that their blood alcohol level was relevant?
"we all know the kid had some issues to" I believe in freedom of speech but I don't know how you can write that about a child that was murdered.

first of all, she wasnt driving, so there was no "twice the legal limit". By law you can drink as much as you want as long as you are not hurting someone else.

Second of all, just because some people choose not to drink or cant handle drinking responsibly, doesnt mean everyone falls into that category.

Chris B murdered his family and committed suicide the other stuff mentioned in this thread is irrelevent, IMO...

I'm not talking about blame.. I'm talking about REALITY.

and I am pretty sure that the murder rates, and domestic abuse are higher in households where people have psychological issues, or other hardships.

Whether a family is poor, or someone cheats on someone, or there are drugs being taken, or someone has some sort of disability, that stresses the people around them.

These type of environment i believe cause the most stress, which could lead to these types of situations.

In this case, there were a number of those..

plus throw in probably Benoit's crazy work schedule..
The guy is prolly never home.
the mom was a drunk on xanax.
the kid needed serious attention and help.

and that is probbably just the tip of the iceberg.

like someone else on here mentioned.. my post is more about how no attention is being put towards Alcohol + Xanax in this case.

Benoit's alcohol level was clean, but maybe he had a few drinks also before.. who knows....

In "Reality" none of these reasons justifiy what he did. All it means, is that he was a loser who couldnt handle the pressures of life, so he acted out by murdering his wife and child (then in true coward fashion, offed himself).

Even if she did attack him. You telling me he couldn't restrain her or get away from her? killing her was his only option in self defense.

The results are in for the Benoit family toxicology reports.

Kriss Sperry - Georgia Chief Medical Examiner gave the details - here they are:

Nancy Benoit had 3 different drugs in her system at the time of death. Hydrocodone (also known as Mortab, Morset) were found at 120 micrograms per liter. Hydromorphone, directly from the brakedown of the hydrocodone, was also found. Finally, the anti-anxiety drug Xanex wss present at 23 micrograms per liter. All 3 drugs were found at the theraputic level - not toxic levels. Her blood alcohol level was 0.184.

Daniel Benoit's blood tested positive for Xanex at 100 micrograms per liter, which is an elevated. What is interesting about this fact is that the drug Xanex was not prescribed to Daniel and is typically not prescribed to children. Based upon this finding, it is their opinion that Daniel was sedated by Xanex at the time of his murder.

Chris Benoit tested positive for Xanex at 50 micrograms per liter. He also tested positive for Hydrocodone at 45 micrograms per liter. Both of these drugs were within the theraputic range and not toxic.

As far as steroids ..... Chris Benoit's urine tested positive for the steroid testosterone at 207 micrograms per liter. The elevated level of testosterone in his urine were the ONLY "steroids" present in Chris Benoit. The medical examiner concluded that there is no way of telling whether Benoit's elevated testosterone was a result of recent steroid use. He called it a "mystery" - but said that Benoit may have been treated for a testosterone deficiency.

The drug GHB was not found in any 3 of the individuals.

No way to tell whether the drugs in Benoit's system had any affect on his behavior that weekend. The drugs found in all 3 bodies were at therapeutic - NOT toxic levels. The medical examiner also said that the decomposition of the bodies may have affected the level of alcohol in Nancy's body.
