    Expiry Dates on Gear

I have two vials of Boldenone 250 (Equipoise) that I intend to stack with some Test E in my next cycle. I intended to start my cycle in June, but a delay in receipt of my anti-e's and SERMS has forced a delay in starting the cycle (because you never start a cycle without having PCT in order - a public service reminder for newbs). Now I have a new issue: My EQ has an expiry of October 2007. I anticipate that I will be using some (hopefully not all) of this stuff AFTER the expiry date. My understanding is that it will still be good, but possibly reduced in potency. Anyone know how much potency is lost? The EQ is from a UGL with a good rep, so I expect it to be decent quality to start with....

    Thanks bros,

    J

It should fine. When things go pretty fast past the expiry is when there would be a considerable reduction of potency. I would personally just dose as normal. Keep in mind that some ugl's just pick random dates for the expiry just for a professional appearance, and there isn't much actual relevance to it.

I have seen pharmacists pencil in an experation date 6 months past the manufacturers date a few times in a hospital pharmacy. In theory it should be fine for a few years past.

From when prescribed. They could be on the shelves for years. The 6 month exp is to make people not take old meds. So people don't completely finish all their meds. like antibiotics so next time they are sick they try taking the left overs . This is to prevent this.

Actually there is some sorta FDA guidelines on this. I am speaking about legit compounding pharmacies only . Not from the date its prescribed but from the day its compounded. Most of the big ones put the date on the lable on the vial ( as well as orange script bottle or box it comes in). I know some one who works for a big compounding pharm and he was explaining to me something about the FDA only allowing a 6 month exp date on their test and deca . Also every bottle I have gotten filled from a compounding pharmacy had an exp date on the vial. My buddy said that by law in the state where in the vial must have a 6 month exp date from the day its compounded ( I just called him to ask him real quick about this)... Thats crazy.. I didnt ask exactly why this is but it has to be all bout the money man..

That is totally about the money. I would like to hope that there is some more noble reason for it, but I suspect it is all $$$.

Thanks for all the responses guys...

Forget months, most drugs have shelf-lives of several years.
The only thing the manufacturer must certify is potency by the labeled exp. date.

Here's a very good article that explains many variables: http://www.mercola.com/2001/feb/7/drug_expiration.htm

it is fine, aas is generally good for 5 years from date produced and should not have reduce potency issues until about that time in general
