Like anything else, it's cyclical although today's selloff was little more complex. Concerns of fundamental economic problems, the Street's own volatility, and reverberations from credit markets created a synergy that fvcked the market over pretty good. While it's bad, it's not as bad as the February sell-off. It's merely a market correction, and imo to be expected; these things happen. The DOW is still above 13k so things aren't that bad.
