spurt of blood after pulling out syringe...

so I was injecting the left leg again today...popped in the syringe, pulled back on the plunger a little, no blood, injected the solution. Pulled the syringe out a presto blood spurts out! This has happened twice in teh same leg and it's pissing me off. Never happen on the right.

Any suggestions?

yes, get used to it. that is my suggestion. it happens all the time. one thing i do though and i find it helps, when you are pulling the needle out just before the end comes out hold it there for like 5 to 10 seconds, then pull it the rest of the way i rarely get anything maybe just a dot. cheers

has happened to me several times, you may have hit a blood vessel or vein, when you aspirated you had already passed through so no blood was drawn. your fine, nothing to worry about.

Ur prob just goin through a vessel.... BUT if for sum reason ur pullin up a pant leg and cutting' circulation at all its bound to happen..Had a friend that would complain of this in his delt and he was rollin up his t shirt to not get blood on it and cuttin' of blood flow..A bright bulb he was..

Yup..happened to me blood was gushing out in small stream.....I think it was because I kept on poking my self in the same exact area....try moving over an inch or so then hold the pin in for ten sec and cover with alchohol swab. Make sure you always aspirate!

diddo what sexy lexy said here... i was aspirating,injectin and when pulling out blood and juice kept coming out fast.... then I started to do this:
after finishing with aspirating, injcecting fluid....
stop with needle all the way in....
slowly withdraw and stop again, then withdraw a little more
with the tip barely in, stop and wait for 5-10 secs, then pull it out....

since then, no juice and one drop of blood shows...put the alcohol wipe and apply pressure... done deal....

You should learn for the most part how to do it without making a big ol sloppy mess, that is not good or sanitary...

I think that i do mine for close to 30 secs and it works for sure...i think i tried it after reading up on that thread you referred to...
