Looking for Milk Thistle testimony ? ?

I want to know exactly how effective is it in reducing liver enzyme levels...

Looking for either studies or personal experience ..

Currently I am only interested in the Milk Thistle product and not the better Liv52.

    Thanks !

In my personal experiences milk thistle does almost nothing for me. I gotten blood work without it and then comparing it to my bloodwork with milk thistle (Liv 52) and the difference in enzymes is almost nothing.

But I hope many read this I have tried many many types of milk thistle and gotten blood work done countless times, with little to no difference in enzymes. Even gotten Blood work done with the beloved Liv 52 and bascially not differnce.

BUT........I have found one milk thistle product that drastically helped. I mean it dropped my liver enzymes 50-60 points in 3 weeks and as long as I stay on this stuff my liver enzymes nexver get crazy bad. Not perfect, but should not have to worry about the liver falling it.

Its called Maximum Milk Thistle, supposed to get absorbed 10x better. Guys get this stuff. Its one of the few 'supplements' that actually work.

I think the following two statements are relatively exclusive, which explains my seemingly (at first sight) contradicting responses.

    DISAGREE, AND HERE'S WHY:
MT'S REPUTATION, DATING BACK TO ANCIENT GREECE MIND YOU, IS THAT OF A VERY SPECIFIC, YET GENTLE LIVER CLEANSER AND FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE I'VE FOUND THIS TO BE TRUE. ONCE WHILE SEEKING TO BETTER ACQUAINT MYSELF WITH VAR’S INDIVIDUAL MULTI-FACETED PROPERTIES, I RAN AN INCREMENTALLY (ONE WEEK APIECE) CYCLE OF TIERED DOSAGES (40/50/60/70/80/100). SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE I EXPERIENCED WHAT MANY REPORT AS A SERIES OF TINY RED FOREARM BUMPS THAT PROGRESSED DAILY FOR THREE DAYS. EVEN THOUGH VAR IS MILD, AS I WAS ON NOTHING ELSE, I ATTRIBUTED IT TO MINOR TOXICITY. A FEW BRIEF INTERNET SEARCHES QUICKLY VERIFIED THIS SUSPICION. I BEGAN MT ONLY, AT 1500MGS ED AND THE BUMPS RAPIDLY DRIED UP AND DIMINISHED OVER THE NEXT TWO AND HALF DAYS UNTIL COMPLETELY GONE, AT WHICH TIME I CONTINUED MT AT 500MGS UNTIL CYCLE'S END.

Show me a study on mike thistle.
    AGREE, AND HERE'S WHY:
QUITE LITERALLY, BECAUSE I CAN'T. SOMETIME AGO, I RAN EXHAUSTIVE (WITHIN MULTIPLE MEDICAL LIBRARIES) LITERARY SEARCHES FOR BOTH PRIMARY AND SECONDARY (META-ANALYTICAL) CLINICAL STUDY DATA TO SUPPORT AND CITE MT’S HEPATOTOXIC COMBATING PROPERTIES ONLY TO BE FRUSTRATED IN FAILURE. EVEN THE MOST POSITIVE STUDIES YIELDED ONLY ANECDOTAL FINDINGS.
    CONCLUSION:
I think both individuals and studies alike simply seek too much from MT, hoping for a tough and INDEPENDENT hepatotoxicity combatant rather than the gentle and very specific cleanser that it actually is. Ironically, like the Var on which I used it, MT's most appropriate application is within a cocktail of other like products.

Similarly and in support of its complimentary effect...
