I want to know exactly how effective is it in reducing liver enzyme levels...
Looking for either studies or personal experience ..
Currently I am only interested in the Milk Thistle product and not the better Liv52.
Thanks !

Cant tell ya today but I will in a few weeks. I run MT daily. I had my doc do bloodwork just prior to this cycle im on now. I will have another pannel run in a few weeks to check estro, t3, prolactin, liver etc...ill PM ya if yourll still interested. Cheers
In my personal experiences milk thistle does almost nothing for me. I gotten blood work without it and then comparing it to my bloodwork with milk thistle (Liv 52) and the difference in enzymes is almost nothing.
But I hope many read this I have tried many many types of milk thistle and gotten blood work done countless times, with little to no difference in enzymes. Even gotten Blood work done with the beloved Liv 52 and bascially not differnce.
BUT........I have found one milk thistle product that drastically helped. I mean it dropped my liver enzymes 50-60 points in 3 weeks and as long as I stay on this stuff my liver enzymes nexver get crazy bad. Not perfect, but should not have to worry about the liver falling it.
Its called Maximum Milk Thistle, supposed to get absorbed 10x better. Guys get this stuff. Its one of the few 'supplements' that actually work.
reddragon, where did you get yours?
Just do a search for Maximum Milk Thislte, its made by Natural Wellness.
I think the following two statements are relatively exclusive, which explains my seemingly (at first sight) contradicting responses.
CONCLUSION:
I think both individuals and studies alike simply seek too much from MT, hoping for a tough and INDEPENDENT hepatotoxicity combatant rather than the gentle and very specific cleanser that it actually is. Ironically, like the Var on which I used it, MT's most appropriate application is within a cocktail of other like products.
Similarly and in support of its complimentary effect...
