although i dont feel your pain exactly i can understand how sad you must be and i think a tat of your cat or something to sho wyour affection for him now that he is gone is a great idea...i had my cat cremated after she left....she sits on my desk at work and watches over me...

Dude, so sorry to hear that. My heart goes out to you. I have always been an animal lover and I know what you are going through.

Just think this. You gave that cat the best damned life it could have had. It could have been with someone else or eating out of dumpsters, and you gave it the best possible life and he(she) thanks you for it. I have to tell myself this because I know im gonna go off the ****ing deep end when my dogs die.

The tat is a great idea.

    Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

    I TOTALLY DO!

I have a dog and love him to bits and would never want anything to happen to him. I get insanely depressed just thinking about loosing him When I come home and my sister took him somewhere and he is not there I feel a bit empty.

I think you should get a tattoo in his honor. All Hail Whiskers!

its so ironic how the whole thing happened.....he was looking good for a 17 yr old cat and the week before he was having some trouble eating , he looked to be greatly improving and i was laying with with on sunday and just whispered in his ear that " its okay buddy, you can go rest, you dont have to hold on anylonger" its like he knew what i was saying and could feel it ..and the not even 10 hours later i wake up to fine my buddy half alive, technically he was still alive but Whiskers was long gone... the vet said his heart just slowed down and that was it.....R.I.P Buddy
