It's called a "surface blur". it can be done in photoshop.

You're wrong. There was no "blur" added to the pic.
I did add a simple effect, and that was "cutout", but the actually drawing was done using vectors, i.e. drawing the lines with the mouse. If it's so easy, why don't you do what I did in 10 minutes?

This is by far one of my most rushed and elementary artworks. But I thought it looked cool so I posted it.

Haha hey Big, long time listener, first time caller, lol but in all seriousness I found that pic in the bodybuilding pics forum. It would only be considered as "pornographic" by DSM.

Relax guy, I wasn't knocking your artwork. I was responding to another poster about the type of filter that this could be created with in photoshop.

And no offense but my career is in art and graphics field. This is relatively easy to create, it is a filter effect over the main picture (which can be done with the click of one button) with black lines traced over the guys body.

I'd be glad to take you up on your 10 minute challenge though. If you would like to post a photograph on monday when I am back at work and have access to a mac and photoshop, I will download it, create a similar artwork and repost it within 5 minutes.

well first it does look pretty good dude did you use that vectorize option and then add effects or did you "freehand" the black outlines?

Dam what do you guys think that dudes Body Fat % is in the pic.

From the look of his lower back and glutes he has to be less than 4 %.....
