    Question Injuries during cycle

Guys I am right in the midddle of my first cycle and I am having shoulder problems, I'm hoping its not rotator cuff. There are some exercises that I just can't do right now. Military presses, dips, etc are out of the question, some of my favorite exercises, I cannot do. It even affects my bench press sometimes, but after a couple of sets, its usually subsides geatly.

My injuries do not seem to be getting any better, though I have working around it. But I definitely am not getting the kind of workouts I want to be having in the middle of my first cycle. What do you guys do, just keep working around it as best possible? I cant just stop juicing in the middle of my cycle can I, I dont want to do that either. I cant see not working out and keep jucin though. This sucks, am I just making it worse by continuing to lift?

Please give me your input here fellas, thanks...Nitro

The way I see it is you have two choices....

    1. stop doing any exercises that cause stress to that area and continue with your cycle....

    2. Stop cycle do pct and wait till you get the problem fixed before you start another one....

IMHO if you are in this for the long run I would go to the doctor see what he suggest and if he says you need to stop working that body part I would stop cycle do pct and do what ever rehab he lays out for you....

A rotator injure can be very debilitating and cause lasting problems....

i 2nd what he says, the doc will give you some more definite answers. i feel pain in my shoulders sometimes when i do shit like incline chest and cable shoulder exercises, but not to the intolerable point like your case. seems like you might need some pro advice and x-rays... be smart, seek pro medical advice

i'd go to a physical therapists first and run a few tests...

tips... avoid pressing over head or in an incline, shorten range of motion with partial reps, no ballistic movements... double up on legs =)

Thanks DW, those are some very good tips. I hate doing legs though lol. Still great advice. I dont think I can see a PT without first seeing some sort of Dr. I guess I will just ask around, thanks. This sucks...Nitro

yea all you need is a referral, I train a few docs so I got one from them... there are plenty of rehab exercises you could do yourself but i'd recommend assesing the damage before treating it, they also have a few treatments and machinery that do wonders my insurance covered most of it so I only pay $15 for a 30 min session

there is a mountain of great information on the net about rebuilding a cuff, takes a long time though. If you don't have insurance look it up cause re-hab is usually 2-3 visits a week, like dw said go and make sure thats what it is first

things like that are pretty internal so its hard to tell by touch. generally insurance is pretty forgiving, unless you have a really bad policy. its better to be safe than sorry though so i'd get it checked
