SO I was told by my endocrinologist that the prostate feed off on test-e and test doesnt cause cancer but prostate feeds off on it. Any comments?

I remember reading studies somewhere here that test actually improves prostate health. Benign prostate hyperplasia is caused by DHT, which can be controlled by taking propecia, which prevents excess DHT from forming from test. Also estrogen had a role to play in there somewhere, but I don't recollect precisely what. Hopefully someone else will jump in.

BTW, what does he mean "feeds off"? Is he saying it will cause BPH but not cancer? Nice doc, using phrases like "feeds off" LOL!!

i took 7-8 test cycles at avarage 750 weekly and i got my prostate checked its normal it did not grow its the same as i started

So I have BPH (Enlarged Prostate) and I have done a lot of research on all of this, and the fact is, they have no idea what causes Prostate Cancer and BPH. Some studies say its Test, which IMO is bullshit because Prostate issues occur at around 50 which is when your test levels have already dropped to a very low point, so how Test can be causing it is beyond me. When I question the Dr's about this they just get this dumb look on there faces and thats when they say nobody really knows. Some studies show Test has no impact. I personally think it has everything to do with Estrogen levels, because these rise sharply as the Testosterone levels drop. I have been on TRT for three years while dealing with BPH but I have also been taking Arimidex to control the Estrogen and so far so good. I had a biopsy done last year and I am clear of cancer although they say there are cells there that will turn in the next five to ten years so we will have to wait and see on that one. Regardless I am on test for life !!! By the way, I also take 5mg of Proscar everyday which is a DHT blocker, its the same as Propecia except Propecia is just 1mg.
