pain increasing, fever, now chills 72 hours after injection

I am current having chills, but i have run a slight fever (just based on feel, not an actual thermomoter) since an injection. The pain has gotten worse over the past 72 hours, and it is slightly swolen, and feels warm to the touch at the site. I have used this exact product before without problems. Its test ethenate so its not like it is a short ester. At what point should i suspect an infection? Should i go to the doctor now, or tomorrow if it has gotten worse or should i just tough it out?

I would definitely at least go and get it checked out.....An infection is not something you want to mess around with.....If it gets bad enough, they have to cut it out.....thats no fun

Sounds infected if its swollen and hot to the touch. Head to the doctor immediately!

I would go see a doc. I know none of us are docs or at least I'm not, but I've had an infection once, If you like post a pic and maybe someone can tell you if it looks like one, but by the way you described it I would say it is infected, so there is probably no need. Best of luck with the doc.

Got some antibiotics and pain pills from the doctor. Its surprising how much this hurts. I have to go in tomorrow to see if they need to cut it out.

Ive had an infection before, in both ass cheeks at once. You did the smart thing going to the doc straight away. I stretched it out a week before I went.

Quite often the antibiotics can take care of it and or lanceing can be used.

wow dude that really bad newz? Did u not use rubbing alcohol on the vails or the injection site?

I used an alcohol pad on both. I had more than one vial from the same batch, and there is a chance that it may have gone bad. The injection that went bad was from a different vial than the first one (which went fine). What sort of shelf life should i expect on things of this nature. I think im going to throw everything from that batch out... but thats alot of money down the drain... Could it be that the source is sketch? This is the first time I've had this problem. With the first injection i had a mild feeling like i was warmer than normal, but no real severe pain to speak of.
